Dear Valued Client,
Metametrix has kicked off September with new
programs and tests to ring in the fall season! We
began with a new teleconferencing series on the 7th,
featuring "Mitochondrial Function and Disease". In
addition to the teleconference series, the launch of
our Celiac Profile offers new testing options for
food antibodies and allergies. Read on for details!

Celiac Disease

Testing for IgA antibodies and Celiac Disease
Celiac Disease is an immune mediated response to
gluten that affects the gastrointestinal tract.
Inherited factors make some individuals sensitive to a
protein called gliadin, which is a part of the total
protein or gluten found in grains. When undigested
gluten reaches the small intestine, gliadin peptides
activate auto-immune reactions in susceptible
individuals.
Available the week of September 25th!

Get your Estronex Patient Brochures
Metametrix would like to help support Breast Cancer
Awareness month in October. Please contact client
services at 800-221-4640 or online to receive your
Estronex patient brochures.
The Estronex test is a measurement of two important
forms of estrogen: 2-OHE1 (the "good" estrogen) and
16-α-OHE1 (the "bad" estrogen). Studies have
shown
that women with low Estronex 2/16 ratios have much
higher rates of breast cancer.

We hope you are enjoying the new Metametrix Memo
E-Newsletter. Next month is Breast Cancer
Awareness month. Metametrix will spotlight the
Estronex test, estrogen related cancers, and
women's health. Also, watch for updates to the IgG
antibodies profile!
