History
Feeling fatigued and "not well" since delivery of first child three years ago. Can't loose weight. PMS with excessive bleeding. Initial constipation and stiffness in fingers much better recently since starting betaine HCl, nutrients, ProBx, and cod liver oil - this done prior to specimens for testing

Description of Results
pAA: Arg and Met (VL) w/ most other EAA (L); eMin: Hg (H) w/ multiple essentials (L), inclulding Zn at 3.7 (6-11); sVit: CoQ10 and E (sl.L) w/ LPO (N); pFA: multiple n-3 and n-6 (L); uOA: lactate, succinate, aKG, and isocitrate (H); VMA (H) and 5-HI

Recommendations
Very positive prospects for improvements in this patient with custom EAAs, trace elements, CoQ10 and Probx added to the regimen already started.

Other Comments
The functional Zn marker fa metabolism is obscured in cases like this where there is such a general depletion of EFAs. Note that the depletion had not reached the stage of Mead elevation, however. The triene/tetraene ratio is still normal, possibly because of difficulty converting LA to AA (the tetraene). We note the ability to examine the neurotransmitter catabolites to show the generally poor status of this patient who is having trouble maintaining homeostasis.
