Making Strides Against Breast Cancer with the American Cancer Society

In October, Metametrix participates with the American Cancer Society in the annual "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" 5K walk helping bring awareness and prevention to breast cancer. Many Metametrix employees and their loved ones gather in Atlanta, GA and speak with fellow walkers about the Estronex Profile - a profile measuring a women's risk of breast cancer or other estrogen-sensitive cancers. To further help support the American Cancer Society, Metametrix employees raised over $1500 last year to support breast cancer research through various fundraising events! Donating Blood

Metametrix participates in blood drives with the American Red Cross and Life South donating blood to those in need.

Atlanta Community Food Bank

Since 2006, Metametrix has joined with the Atlanta Community Food Bank to help fight hunger by encouraging employees to donate food items to make the holidays brighter for individuals affected by poverty and provide them a nutritious meal for the holiday season. Metametrix takes pride in participating and enjoys the full feeling in our souls for helping many families across metro Atlanta.

Toys for Tots

Metametrix has participated with the US Marine Corps Reserves Toys for Tots Program. The Toys for Tots program aims to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November, and December each year, and distributes those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in local communities. Metametrix had set up a box giving employees an opportunity to give back to the community and help raise young children's sprits by receiving a gift for this Christmas season. American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science (ASCLS):
National Medical Laboratory Professionals Week

Sponsored by ASCLS each year, Metametrix participates in National Medical Laboratory Professionals Week (NMLPW) to celebrate our position in the clinical laboratory science industry. NMLPW "provides the profession with a unique opportunity to increase public understanding of and appreciation for clinical laboratory personnel." Metametrix is committed to bringing employees together and celebrating this week with fun games and festivities related to clinical laboratory education. Learn more at www.ascls.org.

NSPIRE Atlanta

Metametrix has participated with NSPIRE of Atlanta, a local charity, providing everyday items for the homeless and less fortunate. NSPIRE's goal is to provide these individuals with support, skills, and tools necessary to "leave the streets behind for good." Metametrix is taking part by asking employees to donate any unneeded coats this holiday season, to provide not only warmth for the winter months but also encouragement to begin to lead a normal and successful life.
